Valvettithurai

Valvettithurai, some of the time abbreviated as VVT, is a beach front town of Jaffna District on the upper east shoreline of the Jaffna Peninsula in Northern Province, Sri Lanka represented by an Urban Council of a similar name. Valvettithurai was truly known as a nautical port and its long time past transportation exchange. The town is famously known for being the origin of Velupillai Prabhakaran, the leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam or the Tamil Tigers, a Tamil patriot activist gathering that pursued a war for autonomy in the North and East.
