About Temple of Diana
This magnificent building is the most delightful of the antiquated Roman destinations in Mérida. The gigantic sanctuary was a critical religious working amid the Classical time frame. Remaining on a lifted rectangular base, the structure is encompassed by peripteros segments with six sections on the exterior.
The rock sections include Corinthian capitals common of the period. Researchers trust that a garden with a lake was found alongside the sanctuary. In the sixteenth century, the sanctuary was changed over into a castle for the Duke of Corbos, however the antiquated structure is as yet noticeable. The Temple of Diana is at the edge of Calle Romero Leal Sagasta west of the Plaza de España. The sanctuary is available to people in general.
