Silla

Silla is a municipality inside the comarca of Horta Sud in the Valencian Community, Spain. According to the 2014 census, the municipality has a population of 18,644 inhabitants. The city has six casales falleros, for the unique Fallas. Silla has specific cultural institutions. Because of the top notch immigration of Andalusian people in the 1960s, Silla has got a Casa de Andalucia. In Silla there's a very important neighborhood theater school. Founded in 1985, it's far one of the first drama schools within the location.

The etymology of Silla isn't recognized for sure. Some say that it comes from the Arabic Sila,others say from Latin, and still others from Catalan meaning "the island". Among those three theories, the maximum normally widely wide-spread one is that it comes from Latin, as it has been proved that there was a Roman cellar in which the metropolis is located now.
