About Santa Maria Magdalena de Zamora
The Santa Maria Magdalena de Zamora is a congregation situated in Zamora, Spain. It was pronounced Bien de Interes Cultural in 1910. Worked in the 12th century, La Magdalena is a little Romanesque church of the Templars. At their concealment, it was given to the Venerable Order of Saint John. The outside highlights a profoundly recessed south passageway, with roundabout curves and shafts, and in addition lavish Romnnesque work.
The rose window, framed with little sections, is like the Temple Church in London. The inside incorporates canopied tombs dating to the 13th century, bolstered by winding and fluted shafts. Against the north divider, there is a tomb under a covering bolstered by three shafts. The catacomb itself is plain, cut with a cross; the likeness of its inhabitant is cut, as though lying on a bed, out of an intense square of stone, and embedded in the divider; over this is the spirit in the state of a head with wings upheld by blessed messengers.
