About Pozoblanco
Pozoblanco is a town in the territory of Cordoba, southern Spain, in the north-focal piece of the self-governing network of Andalusia. It is situated close to the headwaters of the Guadamatillas and of other little sub-tributaries of the Guadiana, in the swamps of Los Pedroches. It is the origin of the writer Rafael Pnas Cruz and the arranger Lorenzo Palomo. Pozoblanco, as other close-by towns, for example, Villanueva de Cordoba, likely began in the mid 14th century when inhabitants of close-by Pedroche fled from the bubonic torment.
On the other hand, Pozoblanco may have started as a little station that created after some time as inhabitants of Pedroche were compelled to pasture their domesticated animals more distant and more distant from the town. Another probability is that Pozoblanco was established by a Jewish people group, maybe in the wake of being ousted from Pedroche. Pozoblanco stayed faithful to the Republic all through the Spanish Civil War. The clash of Pozoblanco occurred in March 1937, when the powers of General Queipo de Llano endeavored to overcome the town; in any case, the troops of the Spanish Republican Army under the order of Lieutenant Colonel Joaquin Perez Salas vanquished the Nationalist powers and held the town. In late March 1939 Pozoblanco was vanquished by the armed forces of the Francoist group.
