About Numantine Museum of Sori
The Numantine Museum of Soria situated in Soria, Spain, centers around the historical backdrop of the region of Soria through craftsmanship and prehistoric studies. It has material from Numantia, a site which is a couple of kilometers from Soria, and furthermore covers other archeological destinations, for example, Tiermes and Uxama. The historical center was the after effect of a 1919 merger of the Provincial Museum worked in the 19th century and initiated in 1913, and the Museo Numantino that was produced from the investigation of the archeological site of Numantia, that started in the 19th century and picked up significance from 1906 to 1923. In 1914, it was made the exhibition hall introduced in 1919.
It's introduced in a building developed after Manuel Aníbal Alvarez plan in 1916, initiated 18 September 1919 by Alfonso XIII and supported by Ramon Benito Acena in a place gavin by the Council. In 1932 the Museo Provincial changed its name to Museo Celtiberico and in 1941 both got together yet keeping up its independence. In 1968 the conclusive association was held and it coordinates the two galleries being called Museo Provincial de Soria first, at that point Museo de Soria lastly Museo Numantino. In 1989 it went up against an aggregate change and the article was intensified up to 7,000 m².
