Monastery of Sant Cugat

The Monastery of Sant Cugat is a Benedictine convent in Sant Cugat del Valles, Catalonia, Spain. Established in the ninth century, and worked until the fourteenth century, it was the most essential cloister in the province of Barcelona. It has its principle include in the huge order, in Romanesque style.The religious community's inception go back to the ninth century, when it was chosen to join the congregation existing from the fifth century lodging the remaining parts of St. Cucuphas Catalan: Sant Cugat to an added fortress. The religious community began to the extend its belonging from the tenth century onwards.
