About Monastery of San Pedro de Eslonza
It is a previous Benedictine religious community in Gradefes, in the region of León, focal Spain. Today in ruins, it was at one time the second most critical religious community in the area, after the cloister of San Benito in Sahagún. The building was in ruinous state in the sixteenth century, and was subsequently reestablished with, among alternate mediations, three new Renaissance entries. The fundamental façade was included Baroque style: its specialties once housed statues of holy people, now vanished.
Monastery of San Pedro de Eslonza was announced a national landmark. Cleric Luis Almarcha Hernández moved its entries to the congregation of San Juan y San Pedro de Renueva between the period of 1944 and 1970, at León, sparing them from annihilation.
