Guardo

Guardo is a municipality inside the province of Palencia, inside the autonomous network of Castile-Leon, Spain. It is the second one most populated municipality after the capital, Palencia, within the province of Palencia. Its production is present day, ordered in an urbanized prosperous nucleus. The center of the city is on the left financial institution of the river. The proper bank contains the railway and commercial facilities. The ancient district is divided into 3 neighborhoods: Barruelo, La Fuente and La Plaza, situated on the japanese slope of the Carrion River Valley.

The ancient district carries a fantastic Baroque palace constructed in the 18th Century by means of Bishop Francisco Diaz-Santos de Bullon. The palace currently homes the Centre for Teacher Training and Educational Innovation. There are numerous impressive big homes on either aspect of the palace and some other, near the church of San Juan, contains the House of Culture and the Municipal Library. The church become built within the seventeenth Century.
