About Felanitx
Felanitx or Felanich is a district in the Spanish self-sufficient network of the Balearic Islands, situated in the southeast of Majorca, 48 kilometers from the capital Palma de Mallorca. Since 1603, when the St. Agusti religious community was established, Felanitx has been renowned for Els Cavallets move, in which seven young men of somewhere in the range of 10 and 13 years old, wearing white pants, red tops and green caps, move around La Dama, another tyke in a dress who waves a tissue to the music.
All artists were male until decently as of late, when young ladies were allowed to join. The town, going back to the 13th century, lies close to the medieval Sant Salvador Monastery with its Gothic engineering. Felanitx is additionally known for its wine and especially its cognac, with more than 60 refineries in the neighborhood in 1749. It is a focal point of generation of ceramic watercoolers and other stoneware since at any rate the third century BC.
The four biggest islands are Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. Numerous minor islands and islets are near the bigger islands, including Cabrera, Dragonera, and S'Espalmador.
