El Escorial

The Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial ordinarily known as El Escorial is a chronicled habitation of the King of Spain, in the town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, around 45 kilometers 28 miles northwest of the capital, Madrid, in Spain. It is one of the Spanish illustrious locales and has worked as a cloister, basilica, regal royal residence, pantheon, library, exhibition hall, college, school and clinic.

The basilica of San Lorenzo el Real, the focal working in the El Escorial complex, was initially outlined, as the greater part of the late Gothic houses of God of Western Europe, to appear as a Latin cross.

Accordingly, it has a long nave on the west-east pivot crossed by a couple of shorter transepts, one toward the north and one straightforwardly inverse, toward the south, around 75% of the path between the west passage and the high sacrificial table.
