Ciutadella de Menorca
About Ciutadella de Menorca
Ciutadella de Menorca or just Ciutadella is a town and a district in the western end of Menorca, one of the Balearic Islands Spain. It is one of the two essential urban areas in the island, alongside Mao. In spite of never again being Menorca's capital, Ciutadella has remained the island's religious focus as the Bishop declined to move. The Cathedral of Menorca, situated in the old quarter of Ciutadella, was worked in 1287 on the establishment of a more seasoned mosque.
In the 17th century, a large number of Ciutadella's polite and religious structures were worked in the Italian style and gave it a chronicled and creative solidarity. Ciutadella's town corridor is the previous royal residence of the Arab representative and later filled in as an imperial royal residence under the Crown of Aragon and again as a senator's castle until the point when the British moved the money toward the eastern town of Mahon in 1722. Punta Nati Lighthouse is situated due north of Ciutadella.
