About Caves of Drach
The Caves of Drach are four extraordinary caves that are situated in the island of Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. They are in the region of Manacor, close to the area of Porto Cristo. They were first referenced in a letter dated 1338. The caves stretch out to a profundity of 25 m and reach around 4 km in length. The four caves, called Black Cave, White Cave, Cave of Luis Salvador, and Cave of the French, are associated with one another. The caves have framed by water being constrained through the passageway from the Mediterranean Sea, and a few analysts figure the arrangement may go back to the Miocene Epoch.
There is an underground lake arranged in the caves called Martel Lake, which is around 115 m long and 30 m in width, and its profundity fluctuates somewhere in the range of 4 and 12 meters. It is named after the French pilgrim and researcher Edouard-Alfred Martel, who is viewed as the establishing father of speleology. He was welcome to investigate the give in 1896. A German buckle adventurer, M.F. Will, had mapped the White and Black collapse 1880. Martel discovered two more caves, and in addition the underground lake. The caves are available to people in general and one of the fundamental attractions on Mallorca. The visit closes with a short established show performed by four artists on a watercraft.
