About Castillo de Gibralfaro
Standing gladly on the Mount Gibralfaro ridge over the Alcazaba, the Castillo de Gibralfaro is another medieval Moorish stronghold.
Abd-al-Rahman III, the Caliph of Cordoba, fabricated the manner in the tenth century on the site of a Phoenician beacon.
The name is gotten from "Gebel-faro" Arabic and Greek words that signify "shake of the beacon".
The Sultan of Granada, Yusef the First, developed the stronghold in the mid-fourteenth century, yet the Castillo de Gibralfaro is most renowned for its three-month attack by the Catholic Monarchs, Ferdinand, and Isabella.
The picture of this building shows up on Málaga's banner and the banner of the province.Although now for the most part in ruins, the site is refreshing for its dazzling displays and verifiable esteem.
