A Estrada
About A Estrada
A Estrada is a district of the Pontevedra territory in Galicia in northwestern Spain. It is found somewhere in the range of 15 miles southeast of Santiago de Compostela. Tabeiros purview comes from the times of the Swabian King Miro in the 6th century and is referenced in the Chronicon Iriense as having a place with the ward of Iria. In the 12th century, the ecclesiastical overseer of Santiago Gelmirez and King Alfonso VII of Castile traded arrive between Tabeiros, Tabeirolos and the Faro post, passing the first into the ownership of the Compostela miter.
This purview secured the entire current City of An Estrada, aside from the wards of Vea, until 1840. This is the year in which the City Council and the legal locale of An Estrada were created. Three years sooner, in view of the conflicts among absolutists and nonconformists, the town corridor of Tabeiros moved from Cereixo to the site of An Estrada, shaped by four houses at an intersection between the wards of Figueroa, Ouzande and Guimarei.
