Yongdusan Park
About Yongdusan Park
Yongdusan Mountain 49m in downtown Busan is one of Busan's three renowned mountains.
It was initially called Songhyeonsan Mountain, which implies a mountain with a perspective of the ocean through the thick pine tree backwoods.
Afterward, the name was changed to Yongdusan Mountain, as the mountain crest was formed like a monster's head yongdu, ensuring the zone against remote trespassers abroad.
The mountain held holy places for the mountain divine beings worked by the Japanese before the 8.15 Liberation. Amid the Korea War, displaced people constructed houses on the sides of the mountain the distance to the summit yet these areas were torched twice, leaving the mountain uncovered.
From that point forward, furious endeavors of planting trees have prompted changing the consumed mountain to a lovely park.
The recreation center was called Unam Park at the season of the Liberal Party's decision, however, was renamed to Yongdusan Park after the April 19 Revolution in 1960.
The recreation center offers an excellent perspective of Busan Port and the encompassing landscape. Specifically, the night sees from Busan tower is radiant.
