About Mudeungsan National Park

Sitting above Gwangju, Mudeungsan National Park is a dazzling green mountain extends with a spiderweb of all around marked trails prompting the pinnacle, Cheonwang-bong (1187m), and up to the transcending rough outcrops Seoseok-dae and Ipseok-dae. Only 30 minutes by transport from focal Gwangju, it's normally stuffed on ends of the week.

The most well known course begins at the sanctuary Wonhyo-sa, which has a resplendent structure ignoring the recreation center and a bronze chime dating to 1710. The sanctuary is only tough from the transport stop. Turn around and take the fundamental way 4km up to Seoseok-dae and Ipseok-dae; it's lofty going as you get towards the best. At that point proceed down through Jangbuljae go to the sanctuary Jeungsim-sa (another 6km), Gwangju's most established sanctuary.

It has a Silla-time press Buddha upheld by red-and-gold craftsmanship, housed in a unimportant looking place of worship behind the fundamental corridor. The modest holy place roosted on a stone alongside it is committed to the Shamanist Mountain God. The climb takes around five hours; in case you're in a hurry, simply visit Jeungsim-sa and the Uijae Museum. This craftsmanship exhibition shows the exquisite scene, bloom and winged creature compositions by the acclaimed Heo Baek-ryeon (1891– 1977), whose nom de plume was Uijae. The craftsman lived in isolation here in the shadow of the mountains.
