About Cheongpung Cultural Properties
Cheongpung Cultural Properties Complex is a reconstruction of Cheongpung, a village that have become submerged after the construction of Chungju Dam positioned on a ridge above Chungju Lake, south of Jecheon North Chungcheong province South Korea. The SBS Jecheon setting is also co-positioned on the complex web page. During the Prehistoric Age, fertile lands and scenic landscapes attracted many tribal communities to broaden alongside the basin of the Namhan River.
During the Three Kingdoms length fifty seven BCE to 668 CE, Cheongpung, and the upstream vicinity of the Namhan River especially, turned into a prime historic community beneath manager of the Silla Dynasty. The place has become hotly contested between the Goguryeo and Silla dynasties. During the Goryeo duration 918 to 1392, Cheongpung have become the seat of the local Justice of the Peace's workplace and was administrated below Chungju County. During the Joseon length 1392 to 1910, Cheongpung because of its strategic region for Namhan River transportation remained a major nearby workplace vicinity.
