About Buseoksa

Buseoksa Temple is a Buddhist temple placed near Mt. Bonghwang in Buseok-myeon, Yeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, based via the outstanding pupil-monk Uisang in 676, the sixteenth 12 months of Munmu of Silla. Buseoksa temple is also properly called the "Temple of the Floating Stone". Korean Huayan college became fantastically celebrated here through the lectures of Uisang, who became later referred to as the respected scholar of Buseok and later the faculty also won the name Buseok school. The temple homes the Muryangsujeon, that is the second oldest status wooden constructing in South Korea, re-built in 1376.

In 1372, huge numbers of annexes were re-established by the excellent monk Won-eung at the time underneath King Gongmin's reign in 1376. A few homes at some point of Goryeo era remain until now, one among that is the primary corridor referred to as Muryangsujeon located at the very best stage, wherein Amitabha is enshrined. According to Samgukyusa, that's the oldest ultimate historic record of this place, there has been a Chinese girl named Sunmyo who favourite Uisang whilst his study in Tang China.
