River Safari Singapore

The River Safari in Singapore is known to be the first and only river-themed wildlife park in Asia. Basically it is a wonderful river-themed zoo and aquarium located in a splendid natural scenario in Singapore. The entire theme land is set over 12 hectares and lies between other two important attractions, the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari. The park is an amazing site mainly comprised of freshwater attraction along with river boat rides as the main attraction. The idea of this unique safari destination is inspired by the different giant rivers of the world like Congo, Mississippi, Ganges, Nile, Mekong, Murray, Amazon, and Yangtze River. You can spot some of the biggest but critically endangered animals found beside these iconic rivers. There are around 5,000 plus animals within the area of this breath taking River Safari. One can explore eight freshwater habitats and may witness some of the rarest species of river giants like the monster salamander, gigantic river otter, and the Mekong giant catfish. Wander through the freshwater galleries and get into the walk-through exhibits to know more about the exclusive wildlife in river habitats. Board on a journey of exploring the wonderful wildlife at River Safari. You can spot around 300 species of animals including aquatic and terrestrial. During your River Safari, you can spot about eight river habitats from the forceful Mississippi to the imposing Yangtze. You can also meet megafishes and river giants like such as the huge salamander and gigantic river otter, and badly endangered Mekong giant catfish. One of the major attractions of this entire safari is waiting for you. After you start getting a bit deep inside the jungle, you may see huge pandas- Jia Jia and Kai Kai inside the deep green forestry. This area is known for housing the largest number of pandas in the entire South-East Asia. Amazon Flooded Forest is the home to the largest freshwater aquarium in the world. This amazing forest exhibits the annual flooding of the Amazon rainforest where 18 magnificent animal species like arapaimas and manatees are found. Once all the attractions and river cruise are in place, you will be enjoying the crowd and noise passing through the river on boats. The close up view of all the wild animals is amazing. Among all these creatures squirrel, Indian Gharial, and monkeys are really impressive.
