About Jurong East
Jurong East is a planning location and residential city placed inside the West Region of Singapore. It borders Jurong West and Boon Lay to the west, Clementi to the east, Tengah and Bukit Batok to the north and Selat Jurong to the south. The improvement of Jurong started inside the 1970s when estates together with Boon Lay, Taman Jurong, Bukit Batok, Bukit Gombak, Hong Kah, Teban Gardens and Yuhua have been constructed, in the main because of the resettlement of Hong Kah present-day Tengah and surrounding villages.
Yuhua, Teban Gardens, Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak shaped Jurong East. Consisting of Jurong Lake, Jurong Regional Centre, International Business Park and the southern segment of Toh Guan, the Jurong Lake District is a top local centre serving as an inviting area for business improvement far flung from the Central Area, to meet the diverse demands of enterprise and offer employment opportunities closer to people staying inside the West Region of Singapore.
