About Gardens by the Bay

An essential part of Singapore's "City in a Garden" vision, Gardens by the Bay traverses a sum of 101 hectares of prime land at the core of Singapore's new downtown - Marina Bay. Involving three waterfront gardens - Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central - Gardens by the Bay will be an exhibit of cultivation and garden imaginativeness that will convey the universe of plants to Singapore and present Singapore to the World.

Gardens by the Bay is a nature stop in central Singapore, nearby the Marina Reservoir. It is a piece of a strategy by the Singapore government to change Singapore from a "Garden City" to a "City in a Garden". The expressed point is to raise the personal satisfaction by improving greenery and vegetation in the city.
