Museum of Vojvodina

The organization of culture with a musicological custom for over 150 years, is one of the biggest historical centers of the complex kind in Serbia, which in its accumulations keeps a precious social legacy gathered in the territory of Vojvodina. It was established in 1847 in Pest, at the session of the Governing Board of Matica Srpska, at the activity of the prestigious Serbs from Vojvodina under the name "Serbian National Collection or Museum". In 1933, the Museum of Matica Srpska was opened, the main open social establishment of this kind in the historical backdrop of Novi Sad, with the undertaking of gathering, protecting exhibition hall acquisitions from the territory of Vojvodina.
