About House of Slave
The House of Slaves on Gorée Island, Senegal is simply such a place. The island itself, resting off the shoreline of Dakar, the capital of Senegal radiates a fairly serious vibe, something that more takes after a memorial park than a tropical island. There is by all accounts an aware understanding that underneath the delicate sound of the ocean breeze prowls the torment and noiseless shouts of its past.
Going about as a stopover where outbound African slaves would be prepared and transported away, the House of Slaves was where Africans would be sent by center men from terrain West Africa, and after that dealers could visit, and buy slaves before driving them through what is presently called the "Entryway of No Return," filling little water crafts before coming back to their primary vessel positioned simply off the island.
