About Masmak Fortress
The Masmak is a mud and mud-block stronghold, with four watchtowers and thick dividers, established on stone squares, lying in the focal point of Riyadh, in the old quarters. This building had a noteworthy influence in the kingdom's history, as it was here that the recover of Riyadh, driven by Ibn Saud, happened on 14 January 1902. This building was worked around 1865 by the sovereign of Riyadh Abdulrahman ibn Sulaiman ibn Dabaan under the rule of Mohammed ibn Abdullah ibn Rasheed, the leader of Ha'il toward the north, who had wrested control of the city from the opponent empirebuilding, neighborhood family of Al Saud.
In January 1902 the youthful Amir Abdulaziz canister Abdul Rahman container Faisal Al Saud, who was at the time living in a state of banishment in Kuwait prevailing with regards to catching the Masmak fortification from its Rashid battalion. The occasion, which re-established Al Saud authority over Riyadh, has gained relatively legendary status ever of Arabia and has been retold ordinarily, yet has as its focal subject the courage and boldness of things to come King Abdulaziz.
