About Zhukovka
Zhukovka is a town and the managerial focal point of Zhukovsky District in Bryansk Oblast, Russia, situated on the left bank of the Desna River Dnieper's bowl 56 kilometers northwest of Bryansk, the authoritative focus of the oblast. It was established in 1868 as a railroad station on the Riga– Oryol railway. In the years that pursued, a settlement developed around the Zhukovka station. In 1914, there were less than 2,000 occupants.
Amid World War II, it was involved by the Germans on August 24, 1941. Town status was conceded to it in 1962. It was established in 1868 as a railroad station on the Riga– Oryol railway.
