About Volosovo
Volosovo is a town and the regulatory focus of Volosovsky District in Leningrad Oblast, Russia, situated on the railroad between St. Petersburg and Tallinn, Estonia. It was established in 1870 as a settlement around the railroad station on the rail route associating St. Petersburg and Revel. The name begins from the adjacent town of Volosovo. Volosovo was a piece of Petergofsky Uyezd of St. Petersburg Governorate. On February 14, 1923, Petergofsky Uyezd was converged with Detskoselsky Uyezd to shape Gatchinsky Uyezd, with the authoritative fixate situated in Gatchina.
Inside the structure of authoritative divisions, Volosovo fills in as the managerial focal point of Volosovsky District. As a regulatory division, it is, as one with the town of Lagonovo, fused inside Volosovsky District as Volosovskoye Settlement Municipal Formation. As a city division, Volosovskoye Settlement Municipal Formation is joined inside Volosovsky Municipal District as Volosovskoye Urban Settlement. Volosovo contains one question named social and authentic legacy of neighborhood centrality. This is a mass grave of Red Army troopers murdered amid the Civil War in Russia and amid World War II.
