About Verkhnyaya Salda
Verkhnyaya Salda is a town in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, situated on the Salda River, 195 kilometers north of Yekaterinburg. It was established in 1778; town status was conceded to it in 1938. Verkhnaya Salda is known for its metallurgical plant VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation—the world's biggest maker of titanium. Salda is a waterway in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia. It is a tributary of the Tagil. The Salda has its sources in the Ural Mountains. It is 122 kilometers long, with a seepage bowl of 1,770 square kilometers. The normal release is 7.2 cubic meters every second 250 cu ft/s around 4 kilometers upstream of its mouth.
The Salda solidifies over in late October or early November, and remains solidified until the point when the spring defrost in April. The towns of Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda are by the Salda River. Christianity is the overwhelming religion in the city, of which most are disciples to the Russian Orthodox Church. The Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky bishopric is situated in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the city. Different religions rehearsed in Yekaterinburg incorporate Islam, Old Believers, Catholicism, Protestantism, and Judaism.
