About Uchaly
Uchaly is a city in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, inside the east of the republic, within the southern Urals, among the lakes of the Uraltau Range. In the Bashkir language, "Uchaly Bashkir iterally method revenge. According to a legend, in the end of the 14th century within the area where the modern-day metropolis now stands Timur fought the Golden Horde Khan Tokhtamysh and slaughtered the nomadic South Ural Bashkirs who have been Tokhtamysh's supporters. Another principle postulates that the metropolis is named for the nearby lakes: Bolshiye Uchaly and Malye Uchaly.
Several theories exist about the origins of the lakes' names as nicely. Bashkir geologists agree with that the name of the lakes comes from the phrase yushaly, which, in turn, is derived from yusha—a prevalent Bashkir name for the colour variety of the sand and clay deposits, which inside the past were used to manufacture paint. Another opportunity is that the word yushaly derives from the word yusha, meaning jasper, the deposits of which can be common in the Urals. Finally, another model states that the call of the lakes derives from the Tatar phrase achuly.
