Surovikino

Surovikino is a town and the authoritative focal point of Surovikinsky District in Volgograd Oblast, Russia, situated at the juncture of the Chir and Don Rivers Tsimlyansk Reservoir, 154 kilometers west of Volgograd, the managerial focal point of the oblast. It was established as a settlement around the Surovikino railroad station, which opened in 1900. It was allowed town status in 1966.
