About Peter the Great Statue

It is a 98-meter-high monument to Peter the Great. The Peter the Great Statue is located at the western confluence of the Moskva River and the Vodootvodny Canal in central Moscow, Russia.

The Peter the Great Monument in Moscow is renowned for its cumbersome appearance but it is a striking sight worth seeing and the statue was created by Russian-Georgian sculptor Zurab Tsereteli in 1997 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian navy.

Mainstream legend has it that a prior incarnation of this statue delineated Christopher Columbus and was to be a blessing to the general population of the USA, who didn't need it. Maybe the way that it is double the extent of the Statue of Liberty had a comment with that.
