About Pallasovka
Pallasovka is a town and the authoritative focal point of Pallasovsky District in Volgograd Oblast, Russia, situated on the Torgun River which streams into the Volgograd Reservoir, 301 kilometers upper east of Volgograd, the regulatory focus of the oblast. It was established in 1907 as a settlement of Torgun adjusting the development of a railroad station of a similar name. That equivalent year, Torgun was renamed Pallasovka out of appreciation for an academician Peter Pallas 1741– 1811, who visited the territory in 1773– 1774. It was conceded town status in 1967.
Within the system of authoritative divisions, Pallasovka fills in as the regulatory focus of Pallasovsky District. As a managerial division, it is, as one with three provincial regions, joined inside Pallasovsky District as the town of region noteworthiness of Pallasovka. As a civil division, the domain of Pallasovka is consolidated inside Pallasovsky Municipal District as Pallasovka Urban Settlement. The three provincial areas are joined as Limannoye Rural Settlement of Pallasovsky Municipal District.
