Noyabrsk

Noyabrsk is the biggest city in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia, situated amidst the West Siberian oil fields, on the Tyumen– Novy Urengoy railroad around 300 kilometers north of Surgut. The city history goes back to 1975 when an arrival party touching base by helicopter landed on the ice of the Itu-Yakha River to begin creating Kholmogorskoye oil field. In November 1976, the primary party of railroad developers touched base at the site of things to come city and stayed outdoors by Lake Khanto with the errand of making a settlement.

On October 26, 1977, the settlement of Noyabrsk, which developed around the railroad station of Noyabrskaya, was authoritatively registered.It was chosen to pick the name of "Noyabrsk" rather than the other proposition, "Khanto", to propagate the memory of the principal landing in November 1976, as the Russian word for November may be "HORAPB".
