Novozybkov

Novozybkov is a town in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It was established in 1701 and was allowed town status in 1809. Novozybkov was a noteworthy hemp provider in the 18^th and 19^th century, especially for the generation of ropes for the Imperial Russian Navy. Following the Crimean War, the interest for hemp fell, and development halted inside and out toward the start of the 20^th century. The world's first ground impact vehicle architect Rostislav Alexeyev was conceived in the town.

Novozybkovsky District and the neighboring Krasnogorsky District were debased with radioactive aftermath from the Chernobyl catastrophe. Today, these two territories remain the most defiled in the Russian Federation with regards to the aggregate tainted zone and the force of pollution. Inside the structure of managerial divisions, Novozybkov fills in as the authoritative focal point of Novozybkovsky District, despite the fact that it's anything but a piece of it. As a regulatory division, it is joined independently as Novozybkovsky Urban Administrative Okrug—a managerial unit with the status equivalent to that of the districts. As a civil division, Novozybkovsky Urban Administrative Okrug is consolidated as Novozybkov Urban Okrug.
