About Novouzensk
Novouzensk is a town and the regulatory focal point of Novouzensky District of Saratov Oblast, Russia, situated on the left bank of the Bolshoy Uzen River at its conjunction with the Chertanly River, 202 kilometers southeast of Saratov, the authoritative focus of the oblast. In 1760, the town of Chertanla was established by the Old Believers. It developed and was conceded town status and renamed Novy Uzen in 1835. It was later renamed Novouzensk. It is situated in the southeast of the oblast.
