Novoaltajsk

Novoaltaysk is a town in Altai Krai, Russia, situated on the correct bank of the Ob River, in the lower scopes of its correct tributary the Chesnokovka, 12 kilometers opposite Barnaul, the authoritative focal point of the krai. It was established in 1736 as the town of Chesnokovka. In 1934, a sawmill was constructed. In 1941, amid the Great Patriotic War, Dniprodzerzhynsk Carriage Works was emptied here from Dniprodzerzhynsk, on the Eastern Front in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

In 1942, Chesnokovka was conceded town status and in 1962 it was given its present name. Inside the system of authoritative divisions, Novoaltaysk fills in as the regulatory focal point of Pervomaysky District, despite the fact that it's anything but a piece of it. As a managerial division, it is fused independently as the town of krai importance of Novoaltaysk a regulatory unit with the status equivalent to that of the districts. As a metropolitan division, the town of krai hugeness of Novoaltaysk is fused as Novoaltaysk Urban Okrug.
