About Nord Kamal Mosque
The Nord Kamal Mosque is the biggest mosque in the city of Norilsk, the northernmost mosque in Russia, and the northernmost mosque on the planet. It was worked by Mukhtad Bekmeyev, an ethnic Tatar local of Norilsk, who named it after his dad. It was structured by a nearby designer, Josef Muire, with assets given by British altruist Stephen Trantham, and was opened for supplications in 1998. Its engineering is Turkish-style with a minaret and focal vault. Noorda Kamal Mosque is a standout amongst the most excellent locales in the Arctic city of Norilsk. It is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the most northerly-arranged mosque on the planet.
The engineering of the mosque, worked by a hand craft, is unique in relation to customary mosques, as a result of the uncommon climatic states of the Far North. For instance, Norilsk's minaret tower, which is for the most part expected to have a round shape, has a square base, in light of the fact that in such dividers, the blocks don't stop and they are more impervious to wind loads. The mosque was worked by the representative Mithada Bikmeyeva, an ethnic Tatar, who was conceived in Norilsk. The mosque was named Noorda Kamal, out of appreciation for his dad Nuritdin and mother Gaynikamal.
