Nikolayevsk

Nikolayevsk is a town in Volgograd Oblast. The town is arranged on the left bank of the Amur River, 80 kilometers from where it streams into the Amur estuary, 977 kilometers north of Khabarovsk and 582 kilometers from the Komsomolsk-on-Amur railroad station. It is the nearest critical settlement to the Strait of Tartary isolating the terrain from Sakhalin.
