About Nalchik
Nalchik is the capital city of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Russia, arranged at a height of 550 meters in the lower regions of the Caucasus Mountains; around 100 kilometers northwest of Beslan. It covers a region of 131 square kilometers. The domain of cutting edge Nalchik was once in the past known as Slabada. It was occupied by local Kabardians, Balkars, Chechens, Adeki, and Cherkese, until around 1743: bunches incidentally conflicted over and question their cases to the land.
The cutting edge city dates from the mid nineteenth century when the extending Russian Empire manufactured a stronghold there together with settling Mountain Jews in 1818; this date is seen at the highest point of the city's ensign. With the establishing of the city of Nalchik, the question among the local gatherings quieted and life enhanced for the general population in the district.
In 1838, a Russian military settlement was established in the city, and after the Russian Revolution of 1917, in the year 1921, Nalchik was given the status of regulatory focal point of Kabardin Autonomous Oblast. The word "Nalchik" truly signifies "little horseshoe" in Kabardian and Karachay-Balkar. It is a minute of na'l, a typical Middle Eastern word for "horseshoe", potentially from the old Scythian, 'nalak". The city of Nalchik was named along these lines as a result of how it is molded as encompassed by the mountains of the land, and the Nalchik River is named after the city it keeps running over.
