About Marble Palace

Marble Palace is one of the main neoclassical castles in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is arranged between the Field of Mars and Palace Quay, somewhat toward the east from New Michael Palace. The castle was worked by Count Grigory Orlov, the most loved of Empress Catherine the Great and the most ground-breaking Russian aristocrat of the 1760s. Development began in 1768 to outlines by Antonio Rinaldi, who beforehand had embellished the stupendous royal residence at Caserta close Naples.
