About Maloyaroslavets
Maloyaroslavets is a town and the authoritative focal point of Maloyaroslavetsky District in Kaluga Oblast, Russia, situated on the right bank of the Luzha River Oka's bowl, 61 kilometers or 38 mi upper east of Kaluga, the regulatory focus of the oblast. It was established in the late 14th century by Vladimir the Bold and named Yaroslavets after his child Yaroslav. In 1485, the town was attached by the Grand Duchy of Moscow and renamed Maloyaroslavets to recognize it from Yaroslavl. During the French intrusion of Russia, the Battle of Maloyaroslavets occurred close to this town on October 12 of 1812.
The fight was recognized by an open church worked at the Black Island Chyornoostrovsky Convent of Maloyaroslavets by 1843. Inside the structure of managerial divisions, Maloyaroslavets fills in as the authoritative focal point of Maloyaroslavetsky District, to which it is specifically subordinated. As a civil division, the town of Maloyaroslavets is fused inside Maloyaroslavetsky Municipal District as Maloyaroslavets Urban Settlement.
