About Lyudinovo
Lyudinovo is a town and the authoritative focus of Lyudinovsky District in Kaluga Oblast, Russia, situated on the shores of Lake Lompad shaped by a dam on the Nepolot River, 188 kilometers or 117 mi southwest of Kaluga, the managerial focal point of the oblast. As of the 2010 Census, its populace was 40,530. Toward the start of 18th century a Russian industrialist from Ural, Evdokim Demidov, requested two dams to be based on the Nepolot stream. Two supplies were made: upper Lyudinovskoye and lower Sukremlskoye. An iron foundry was worked close to the Sukremlskoye store in 1738. Ironworks close Lyudinovsky repository were worked in 1745.
These days Lyudinovsky Lokomotive Plant situated there. First Russian business steam train was worked here in 1879.
