About Leninsk
Leninsk is a town and the regulatory focus of Leninsky District in Volgograd Oblast, Russia, situated on the left bank of the Akhtuba River, 78 kilometers east of Volgograd, the managerial focal point of the oblast. It was established in 1802 as the town of Prishibinskoye and was later renamed Prishib. It was renamed Leninsk in 1919 and conceded town status in 1963. The accompanying urban areas lie on or close to the Akhtuba, Volzhsky toward the start of the stream, Leninsk, Znamensk, Akhtubinsk, Kharabali inside 5 kilometers of the waterway.
