About Konstantin E Tsiolkovsky State Museum
The Konstantin E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics is the principal exhibition hall on the planet committed to the historical backdrop of room exploration. It was opened on 3 October 1967 in Kaluga, and is named after Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, a school ace and advanced science pioneer who lived the vast majority of his life in this city. The main thrust behind the formation of the historical center was Sergei Korolyov, boss originator of RKK Energiya. The building was planned by Boris Barkhin, Evgeny Kireev, Nataliya Orlova, Valentin Strogy and Kirill Fomin, and the foundation was laid by Yuri Gagarin on 13 June 1961.
The exhibition hall has more than 100,000 guests for every year and has 127 representatives, of whom 43 are caretakers. The composition of the exhibition hall comprises of two sections. The initial segment is devoted to the thoughts and research of Tsiolkovsky, and demonstrates a model of the rocket structured by Tsiolkovsky and duplicates of his logical work.
