Kimovsk

Kimovsk is a city and the place of work of Kimovsky District in Tula Oblast, Russia, positioned on the watershed of the Don and Volga Rivers, 77 kilometers southeast of Tula, the place of business of the oblast. The village of Mikhaylovka has been appeared since the seventeenth century. It superior inside the route of the Great Patriotic War in reference to large coal exploitation at the Moscow Coal Basin. The Soviets built numerous mines at the lands of a kolkhoz referred to as Young Communist International, abbreviated as, or KIM and a habitat for miners.

It became granted paintings settlement reputation and given its gift call in 1948; town repute become granted to it in 1952. Bus station and railway station share a constructing. Bus routes originating from Kimovsk consist of Moscow, Tula, Ryazan, Novomoskovsk, Uzlovaya, and other locations. There is a museum of neighborhood lore in Kimovsk. The Memorial of the Great Patriotic War is placed at the outskirts of Karachevsky forest.
