About Jemanzhelinsk
Jemanzhelinsk is a town and the regulatory focus of Yemanzhelinsky District in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, situated close to the fringe with Kazakhstan on the eastern inclines of the Southern Ural Mountains, 50 kilometers south of Chelyabinsk, the authoritative focal point of the oblast. Established in 1770 as a Cossack town, it has been known as the stanitsa of Yemanzhelinskaya since 1866. It turned into a coal mining settlement in 1930 1931, which was conceded town status on September 25, 1951.
It was one of the spots nearest to the hypocenter of the impact from the 2013 Russian meteor event. Within the structure of managerial divisions, Yemanzhelinsk fills in as the authoritative focal point of Yemanzhelinsky District. A hypocenter is the purpose of source of a seismic tremor or a subsurface atomic blast. As an authoritative division, it is as one with three provincial territories, consolidated inside Yemanzhelinsky District as the Town of Yemanzhelinsk. As a civil division, the Town of Yemanzhelinsk is fused inside Yemanzhelinsky Municipal District as Yemanzhelinskoye Urban Settlement.
