House of Lenin
About House of Lenin
House of Lenin, currently Philharmonic Chamber hall, is a building in Novosibirsk, located at Krasniy Prospect, 32. C. After the demise of Vladimir Lenin the occupants of Novosibirsk chose to celebrate Lenin's heritage. On February 10, 1924, it was chosen to fabricate a house landmark. The assets were given by the laborers of the town. The noteworthy service happened on July 13, 1924, and the building was finished in 1926. Initially the building had components of the Lenin's Mausoleum fused into its veneer; notwithstanding, they haven't survived the later recreations. The House was in the focal point of open and political existence of the city.
It was a home of the focal library, first Siberian radio station and numerous other nearby and territorial associations. In 1930– 1985, Novosibirsk Theater of youth was situated in the House of Lenin. A portion of the plays in the 50's situated in the auditorium were viewed as "innovative" and "extreme". The building was reproduced in 1937-1938 and 1943-1944 to change its unique "progressive" shape into a more traditional dramatic building. In 1970 a mass of the building confronting Monument to the Heroes of the Revolution was enriched with upheaval themed pictures. At last, in 1985, the performance center moved to another building and the House of Lenin was changed over into Philharmonic Chamber lobby.
