Gryazovets

Gryazovets is a town and the regulatory focus of Gryazovetsky District in Vologda Oblast, Russia, situated on the Rzhavka River, 47 kilometers south of Vologda, the managerial focal point of the oblast. The main notice of Gryazovets goes back to 1538, when it was portrayed as a settlement reliant on the Korniliyevo-Komelsky Monastery. The settlement was contracted on January 25, 1780, when it turned into the seat of Gryazovetsky Uyezd of Vologda Viceroyalty.

The viceroyalty was nullified in 1796 and its part which included Gryazovetsky Uyezd progressed toward becoming Vologda Governorate. On August 7, 1924, Gryazovetsky Uyezd was canceled and the domain was incorporated into Vologodsky Uyezd. On July 15, 1929, a few governorates, including Vologda Governorate, were converged into Northern Krai, the uyezds were annulled, and Gryazovets turned into the authoritative focus of the recently settled Gryazovetsky District.
