About Gagarin
Gagarin, referred to until 1968 as Gzhatsk, is a town and the managerial focus of Gagarinsky District of Smolensk Oblast, Russia, situated on the Gzhat River, 240 kilometers upper east of Smolensk, the regulatory focal point of the oblast.
