About Fokino
Fokino is a town in Primorsky Krai, Russia, situated on the shore of the Peter the Great Gulf, on the Abrek Bay, around 45 kilometers or 28 mi south of Vladivostok, the managerial focal point of the krai. The town of Promyslovka was established on the current site of Fokino in 1891. Promyslovka was allowed urban-type settlement status in 1958, and the close-by maritime town of Tikhookeansky stuck to this same pattern in 1963.
It is a close town in light of the fact that the Russian Pacific Fleet is based there. Outsiders must have an exceptional allow to visit the town.
